Neuter Day Announcement:

Friday, March 8th, 2024 Feline Neuter Day was a success!

We Neutered 22 Felines!!

Thank you to all who brought their feline friends in to see us!

We are looking forward to the next Neuter Day in the Fall of 2024

Date to be determined!

Why do we have “Cat Neuter Days”?

Every year hundreds of unwanted cats are euthanized here in Brandon. This is due to overpopulation caused by people who are not spaying and neutering their cats. There are simply too many cats around to find homes for every one of them, so the sad reality of it is they have to be humanely euthanized. Pet overpopulation is a problem everywhere and the statistics of how many cats and dogs are euthanized every year is disturbing and upsetting.

Working in a vet clinic we have to deal with the reality of pet overpopulation on a daily basis. We wanted to contribute in a positive way to the problem and help out the community we live in. Therefore, we organized “Cat Neuter Day”, where we offer cat neuters for 1/2 price.(Cats must be up-to-date on vaccinations or it will be done for an additional fee.)

Since our “Cat Neuter Days” have started we have helped control the cat population by neutering 852 cats!

We’d like to thank all who participated in our Cat Neuter Days and we hope it will encourage people to continue to participate in the future.

REMEMBER: Overpopulation isn’t the end of the world, unless you are a cat.
